Revit is incredible for quickly viewing plans and elevations in 3D! You can create full building models of varying complexities for a massive range of purposes. Revit can also be used as a tool for Building Information Modelling, which is a requirement of many construction projects and is the way of the future.

I used Revit to design architecture projects before my first choice to combine it with structures and designers. Using it even in budget and time is one of the most oversized methods for designing and monitoring architectures. It is also great to connect it to light at once and work simultaneously to avoid wasting time making adjustments and changing software.

What is most helpful about Revit is that it allows you to work both in 2D and in 3D efficiently and starts assembling other drawings while you are working just on one. It allows you to seamlessly move between views to work on multiple things at once. More upsides include its ability to import other file types and work off of them, such as PDFs or AutoCAD files.

Being an interior design student, I have lots of work on my plate. I thought that creating 3d models would be my cup of tea since there is no way I could create these by hand. But, after using Revit for a couple of weeks, I realized that even though the program offers amazing features, it has a very complicated interface which makes it hard to use. So, if you are looking for a program that is easy to use and comes with hundreds of customization options, then Revit is not the right choice for you.
